Methods of 5-Amino-1MQ Iodide
Synthesis of 5-Amino-1MQ Iodide (5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium iodide)
1. Methylation of 5-Aminoquinoline
- 5-Aminoquinoline (1.0 mmol) was dissolved in acetone (10 mL) under stirring.
- Potassium carbonate (1.2 mmol) was added to the solution to act as a base.
- Methyl iodide (1.1 mmol) was added dropwise to the reaction mixture at room temperature.

2. Isolation of the Product
