Neotame
Neotame is a high-intensity artificial sweetener that is chemically related to aspartame. It was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2002 as a general-purpose sweetener and flavor enhancer. Neotame is approximately 8,000 to 13,000 times sweeter than sucrose (table sugar), making it a potent sweetening agent.
